While the Spiece Run N Slam may not take place during one of the two spring live periods, there was plenty of high-level action that took place on night one of the event. All three of the major shoe companies were represented throughout pool play and as a result, fans are able to see a melting pot of teams and clashes that can be played nowhere else.

Check out a few headlines from Friday night!

Height: 6'0

Weight:160lbs

Position: Point Guard

High School: Cleveland Hts.

AAU: OH-Nova Tillman

OH-NOVA Tillman has added a few new pieces from a year ago, including: Taevion Kinsey, Cameron Brooks Harris, and Cleveland Heights' guard Yahel Hill.

Hill described the team to still be "fairly new" but mentioned that everything seemed to be coming together after playing with the team throughout the spring live periods.

On Friday night, Hill's words came to life as he played floor general in transition and found the Kinsey hanging out in the air for a two-hand lob.

"They can go and get it from wherever and they can score it for themselves. It just makes it easier for me because I know I have somewhere to kick it to when I'm driving."

Hill was one of NEO's leading scorers this past season for Heights and showed that he can fill it up as well, scoring 13 of his 17 points in the first half. Hill used his quick burst and unmatched ability to change speeds to get into the lane and draw contact.

A few trips to the charity stripe opened things up and he would go on to pick The Family apart via the pick and roll. Hill split two defenders and connected on a floater from 10 feet out, and followed it up with a free-throw line jumper just a few moments later.

Hill's unique pace and ability to make quick, efficient decisions  with the ball in his hands is the reason why a pair of in-state programs had made him a top target.

Recruiting

Kent State, Toledo, and Duquesne are on Hill the hardest while James Madison and Stony Brook have also extended offers as well. Hill added that a scheduled visit to either Toledo or Duquesne is in the works for next weekend and there is no timetable for a decision at this moment.

Hunter Impresses Scouts

Jerome Hunter (OH-NOVA Tillman) turned in what was the most impressive performance I've seen this spring by anyone in Ohio's 2018 class. It seems like the 6'7 forward has permanently flipped the on-switch and has managed to make tremendous strides over the last year.

Hunter scored the rock from all three levels Friday night, stepping into a pair of triples to start and flashed some glimpses of his arsenal out of the low post. His ability to handle the ball in the open floor was impressive as he maneuvered through traffic en route to a handful of thunderous dunks on the break.

Expect the rising senior to make a jump in the next release of national rankings.

Hale Fends Off GRS  - Martin

Maple Heights 2018 CG Alfonse Hale had the hot hand in the second half of TNBA East's matchup with Grand Rapids Storm - Martin. Hale, one of the area's top scoring guards, connected on four of his six three-point field goals in the second half, giving his team just enough of a cushion to hold on.

Guards Coryon Rice, Delshawn Jackson, and Dyshawn Jackson used their athleticism to speed up the pace and create opportunities for themselves and teammates.
