Junior guard Michael Bothwell is coming off of a breakout sophomore season where he earned Player of the Year honors in Division 4 and led Cornerstone Christian to its first state title.

Height: 6'3

Weight:170lbs

Position: Point Guard/Wing Guard

High School: Cornerstone Christian

AAU: C2K Elite 17U

Bothwell is a smooth scoring guard who is capable of sliding over and playing a lead guard role. At 6'3, he is a proven three-level scorer at the high school level and has continued to show improvements as a rim finisher.

The now junior has always been capable of drawing the contact but some extra time in the weight room both before and during the season has added some strength and has given him another gear moving downhill.

This was on full display last week in Cornerstone's matchup with Division One power Mentor. He finished with a game-high 39 points, just two shy of matching his career mark that he set last season in the regional finals.

Bothwell displayed a newfound body control and continued to force the issue early on as Mentor had no answer.

"This season I've tried to get going early in the game to send a message to the other team and open the game up for my teammates."

Currently, Bothwell holds offers from Akron, Kent State, and Longwood but UNC Wilmington and William & Mary have been the latest to express interest.
