Padua's Cameron Drum sank two big free throws with 20 seconds remaining in Friday night's game between Padua and Lake Catholic.

A last second runner by Ryan Boruszkowski missed off the front rim and the Bruins escaped with a 55-54 win on their senior night and final game of the regular season.

At First: 

Both teams started off slow out the gate but a quick five points from Lake Catholic's Luke Frazier and Shawn Dunnings gave their team the advantage early on. 

Frazier, one of two freshmen in the starting lineup, connected on three triples in the game's opening quarter, but Padua junior Joe Monnin answered with his own three to cut the Lake Catholic lead to just five after one.

An early technical against the Bruins extended the Lake Catholic lead to eight with a few minutes into the second quarter.

Turning Point: 

Junior Kevin Peterson drove baseline and threw down a two-handed jam that woke up the building.

The play resulted in what was the start of a 8-0 run by Padua and sparked an offense that was struggling to get anything going early on.

Frazier didn't make another jumpshot after the second quarter but the 6'0 guard found his way into the lane to hit on a handful of lefty floaters in traffic to give the Cougars a five-point lead with 40 seconds remaining in the third quarter. 

Following up a ridiculous scoop finish by senior Alex Ludwig, Drum outdid his teammate and hit a no look, HORSE shot over his head that once again served as a momentum shift at the end of the third.

Drum took a more traditional approach late and knocked down an open three that knotted things up with 1:15 to go and his free throws 45 seconds later would be enough to seal the final NCL matchup of the season.
