Green defeated Tallmadge by a score of 73-59 on Tuesday night.

Reminiscent of the 2014-15 season when his Green Bulldogs finished the regular season undefeated at 22-0, head coach Mark Kinsley traveled into familiar territory on Tuesday night and walked away with a 73-59 over Tallmadge.

Green sophomore Kaleb Martin set the tone with a pair of layups in the game's opening minutes but it was his teammate and freshman guard Garrison Keeslar who stole the show in the first quarter of action.

Keeslar rattled off four of his five three-pointers in the first eight minutes of play but Blue Devils junior Matthew Francesconi was able to convert a tough basket plus the foul to quiet the storm.

Despite virtually playing an even game through one quarter of action, a series of unforced turnovers committed by Tallmadge would be just enough to spark a run by the visiting team.

Green senior Bobby Staudt, known for being a three-point specialist, followed up his missed attempt from deep with an offensive rebound that resulted in a trip to the free throw line.

Staudt was able to find seams within the Tallmadge defense throughout the second quarter and craft his way to a number of finishes in the paint, he and Keeslar led all scorers with 12 at the break.

A deep jumpshot by Tallmadge's Julius Lee went through the net midway into the third quarter, but not before a foul was called against Green.

Lee's bucket counted and the Blue Devils were able to retain possession. Francesconi once again put his team within striking distance with a tough bucket, he finished the night with a team-high 16 points and 8 rebounds.

After sitting the majority of the second quarter with 2 early fouls, Martin returned for Green and picked up where his teammates left off in the first half. Back to back threes dropped for the sophomore and just like that the Bulldogs were able to extend the lead back to double-digits with just two minute left to play in the third.

Turnover woes continued to haunt Tallmadge throughout the second half and they were unable to fully get into a groove offensively.

Martin and Staudt combined for 38 points and picked up a much needed win that will pay dividends moving forward.

Both teams return to the floor on Friday in a pair of league contests.
